And the Winner Is………

Well the results are in! The committee has deliberated and made it’s final decision.  The winners of the Toland Travels Postcards Contest are finally ready to be announced.  The first place winner will be receiving a $100 iTunes Gift Card.  There were over 100 different submissions and the variety was simple amazing.

The judging committee looked at several different aspects of each card when making their decision.  Among them were:

  1. Visual Presentation
  2. Creativity
  3. Impact and relevance of the message

Without further ado, the winning submission is…….


Created by Ruthie W., the judges liked the contrast between the neon border and the natural scene, as well as the message of the card which struck the right tone of relateable and aspirational travel.

There were also three Honorable Mentions as well.

1. Greta C. – The committee enjoyed the simplicity of the photography, and the poignancy of the text.

2. Whitt W. – You found the the perfect use for the “David Mason” filter.

3.  Callie S. – Your personalization of the photos and the incorporation of the word “England” in a way that had not been predictable and was highly unique.
